Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a strong understanding of best practices in graphic design, and a finger on the pulse of current industry trends. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to contribute to the visual identity of our brand and make an impact in the fast-paced world of direct-to-consumer marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Graphic Design: Create visually stunning and impactful graphics for various digital and print assets, including social media content, email newsletters, website banners, packaging, and promotional materials, while ensuring consistency with the brand identity.
• Image Editing and Production: Edit and manipulate images for use in marketing material Prepare files for print and digital production.
• Brand Cohesion: Maintain and uphold brand guidelines across all design projects to ensure brand consistency and alignment with our core values and messaging.
• Trend Awareness: Stay informed about the latest design trends, techniques, and best practices in the D2C industry and incorporate them into design projects to keep our brand fresh and relevant.
• Creative Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the marketing team and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, brainstorm ideas, and translate concepts into visually compelling designs that resonate with our target audience.
• Iterative Design: Iterate on design concepts based on feedback from team members and stakeholders, and proactively seek opportunities to refine and improve design solutions.
• Asset Management: Organize and maintain a library of design assets, including logos, icons, and templates, to facilitate efficient workflow and ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints.
• Deadline Adherence: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards and attention to detail.
• Brand Shoots: Participate in brand shoots to ensure content is shot according to plan and brand aesthetic.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a direct-to-consumer or ecommerce environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a must.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
• Knowledge of best practices for digital and print design, including file formats, resolution, and colour modes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
