Since 1979, Foothills Academy Society has been optimizing the success of students with Learning Disabilities and is a leader in working with children and youth with Learning Disabilities and associated disorders. We are a Designated Special Education Private School for grades 3-12, and have additional support from our year round Community Services department which reaches over 1,000 individuals in the community annually. The Position:
Foothills Academy is seeking a qualified and experienced Junior High Humanities teacher for Grades 7-9. This is a position commencing at the end of August 2026.
The academic program at Foothills encourages collaborative learning, creativity and an understanding of the diverse learning needs of students with learning disabilities as well as adhering to the Alberta Program of Studies.
Qualifications:
Alberta Teaching certification (required)
Outstanding teaching evaluations
Experience teaching junior and/or senior high humanities courses.
Experience working with students with Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD preferred.
