Lakhotia College of Design is looking for a dynamic and tech-savvy Junior Interior Design Faculty who is passionate about teaching and specializes in design software tools.
This role is ideal for a young professional or fresher with strong software skills, who can support senior faculty while also handling practical and theory sessions across interior design subjects.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Support
Assist in teaching Interior Design subjects across semesters
Deliver sessions focused on design software and digital visualization
Support senior faculty in studio work, juries, and assignments
Help students understand space planning, layouts, and design concepts
Software Training (Core Focus)
Train students in:
AutoCAD (2D Drafting)
SketchUp / 3D Modeling
Rendering tools (V-Ray / Lumion / Enscape or similar)
Basic Photoshop for presentations
Guide students in creating digital presentations, portfolios, and renders
Student Mentorship
Assist students in assignments, submissions, and portfolio development
Provide hands-on guidance in software-based design projects
Lab & Studio Support
Maintain smooth functioning of computer labs and design studios
Ensure students follow proper file management and workflow practices
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of:
AutoCAD
SketchUp (must)
At least one rendering software (V-Ray / Lumion / Enscape)
Basic understanding of interior design principles & space planning
Ability to explain concepts in a simple, practical way
Good communication and student-handling skills
Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design / Architecture / Interior Architecture
Experience
0–2 years experience (Freshers with strong software skills can apply)
Internship or freelance experience in interior projects is a plus

Passionate about teaching and mentoring students
Organized, responsible, and eager to grow in academics
Able to balance creative + technical teaching
