Position: Junior Lab Technician, Fashion Design Lab
Job Description:
• The Lab Technician will be responsible for assisting students in garment construction and pattern making for menswear, womenswear and kidswear.
• The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day functioning and maintenance of the lab equipment which includes minor troubleshooting of the equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventory of the equipment, consumables and non-consumable items of the lab.
• The candidate will be responsible for developing samples of garment construction which includes complete garments of menswear, womenswear and kidswear, samples of types of stitches, and garment components such as pockets, pleats, sleeves, collars, etc for display in the lab.
• The candidate will be responsible for upkeeping of the lab.
Desired Qualification: Diploma/Certificate in garment construction and pattern making
Desired Experience: The candidate should be having experience of working with Industrial Sewing Machines (JUKI), including Overlock machines, Flatbed machines and operating industrial iron.
