What you’ll do
As a legal counsel, you will help us with identifying the legal issues and potential regulatory requirements associated with the key initiatives of the business. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys drafting and reviewing contracts and researching areas of commercial law as relevant to the company’s business and prospects. Prior experience in litigation is highly desired.
More Specifically:
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for legal compliance and recommendations on the operations of the company
• Candidate must have experience in handling civil cases and arbitration cases
• Previous experience in prosecuting and litigating is desired
• Day-to-day responsibilities will entail but not be limited to drafting, reviewing, negotiating all types of commercial contracts and similar documentation (including NDAs, sales, purchasing, consultancy, agency/distribution, real estate, construction contracts, as well as MOUs, offer letters, performance bonds etc.)
• The firm expects this position to advise on the legal issues faced by the business and alert the firm to legal and regulatory risk
• The candidate should have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, taking into consideration different audiences and attention spans
Requirements:
• LLB, preferable master’s degree
• Must have good command over English, Hindi and Marathi (written and verbal communication skills)
• 2-4 years relevant experience
• Should be open to travel for work
• High attention to detail with prior experience in litigation
• Proactive and able to work with minimum supervision
• Highly proficient in MS Office suite
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
