Key responsibilities:
1. Design mechanical components for ROV systems by applying principles of mechanical and manufacturing engineering
2. Analyze requirements and evaluate design feasibility using simulations, rapid prototyping, FMEA, and testing
3. Ensure product and process quality by developing testing methods and evaluating finished products and process capabilities
4. Improve existing product designs based on customer feedback
5. Adhere to internal standards and departmental processes
6. Engineer mechanical designs for underwater ROV systems
7. Conduct market surveys as needed to support design and development
8. Apply expertise in structural analysis engineering and the product design cycle

Planys Technologies Private Limited is an IIT Madras-incubated startup that specializes in submerged robotic inspection and survey solutions.
