Our client is seeking a Junior Production Engineer to join their team within a highly technical, electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated individual who is eager to enhance their engineering skills while playing a key role in supporting low-volume, high-precision production operations. The successful candidate will work closely with a small, dedicated team and will gain exposure to various aspects of the production process.
Key Responsibilities Of a Junior Production Engineer
• Provide daily engineering support to production teams.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining production processes and reducing costs.
• Support the New Product Introduction process to transition new products into production.
• Contribute to improving product quality, process efficiency, and health & safety standards within the production environment.
• Develop comprehensive build and test instructions for production use.
• Participate in time studies and work assessments to help establish standard assembly times.
• Support the design and deployment of new tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve assembly processes.
Key Attributes Of a Junior Production Engineer
• Enthusiastic and highly motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Basic electrical/electronic fault-finding skills are a plus.
Experience Of a Junior Production Engineer
• Degree in and Engineering discipline.
• Some experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment is desirable, though not essential.
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems and an understanding of basic production methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or 5S practices is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role, with a proactive approach to acquiring new skills.
