We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated EMS Coordinator to join our dynamic Town Planning Department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining our Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure that our town planning projects comply with environmental regulations and sustainability goals. This position will be key in the development of long-term environmental strategies, policies, and initiatives to improve the environmental footprint of urban development projects.
Qualification: B. Tech Chemical Engineering , (M.Sc. in Environment Er. will be added advantage).
• Strong understanding of ISO 14001 standards, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices in urban development.
• Experience with environmental audits, risk assessments, and reporting procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and environmental management software
Key Responsibilities:
• MS Implementation & Maintenance: Develop, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) in alignment with ISO 14001 standards and regulatory requirements for town planning projects.
• Environmental Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and national environmental legislation, including zoning laws, land use policies, and sustainability initiatives.
• Sustainability Planning: Work closely with urban planning teams to integrate sustainable practices into town development plans, including waste management, energy efficiency, green space development, and carbon footprint reduction.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular reports on environmental performance, sustainability achievements, and compliance audits for internal and external stakeholders.
• Risk Management: Identify potential environmental risks associated with planning projects and recommend mitigation measures.
• Training & Awareness: Provide training to town planning staff on environmental best practices and the importance of the EMS in promoting sustainability.
• Collaboration: Liaise with local authorities, environmental agencies, and community groups to promote environmental responsibility in development projects.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new environmental technologies to ensure EMS procedures remain relevant and effective.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
