Takeoff Technologies, a Massachusetts-based tech company, is the creator of the world’s first automated micro-fulfillment center (MFCs) that transforms the way people access groceries. Our solution provides retailers with the most cost-efficient way to fulfill their online grocery orders, using automated, hyperlocal micro-fulfillment centers.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team. As a Junior SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through the development and execution of automated tests. You will work closely with our software development team to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot defects in our products. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to propose improvements to our existing processes and automated tools in order to improve the team’s speed, quality, and efficiency.

This is a hybrid role where some time can be spent in our Pune office and some time working remotely.

A day in the life of a Senior Manager Software Engineering will include:
Develop and maintain automated test suites to ensure the quality of our software products
Work closely with the development team to identify and troubleshoot defects
Participate in design and code reviews to ensure that our software is of the highest quality
Collaborate with other teams to ensure that our products are meeting customer needs
Develop and execute manual test cases as needed
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Desired skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
2+ years of experience as an SDET, developer, or strong Automation Engineer
Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Go, Java)
Understanding of software development principles and practices
Experience with Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
Experience with QA concepts and methodology
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of software testing and development
Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment and utilizing containerized and serverless technologies preferred
