Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provides entry to intermediate -level professional engineering or advanced technical services, under the supervision of more senior professional staff as appropriate to the day -to -day operating objectives of the unit.
2. Undertakes and participates in engineering or technical design projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise that will support the design and engineering of the unit , information technology and other technical needs.
3. Participates in the design , planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within engineering, construction and/or other advanced technical areas of expertise
4. Interact directly with colleagues , and other internal or external constituencies in planning assignment and the resolution of day to day operational problems.
5. Receive guidance, Training and mentoring from more senior professional personnel in designing , planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
6.As appropriate to the position, and as specified by unit management, conducts original design and research and prepares reports based o findings, including recommendations or alternative proposal for action
Knowledge skills and abilities required
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Project development and planning skills
Entry level engineering or advanced technical knowledge and skill at bachelors or masters of computer science level within the specified area of technical professional specialty.
