Our client is a world-leading mechanical & software Engineering Consultancy. The team develop novel and technically demanding software for safety critical Engineering applications across a broad range of clients.
They are experts in creating effective solutions to complex challenges for, the oil and gas, nuclear, renewable energy, automotive and defence market sectors.
We are focused on hiring junior level software engineers with a cross over/interest or experience in mechanical engineering, or conversely, Mechanical Engineers with an interest in coding/software.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience in developing and applying cutting edge engineering software on some of the most technically demanding projects at many 'blue chip' European and US companies. We are looking for candidates that have ambition, imagination and skill in equal measure and will offer an exciting and varied career in a supportive but dynamic environment in exchange.
Qualifications
The main attributes we are looking for are:
• Work experience in the engineering or software sector
• Some experience with C# or Python or Java or MATLAB
• MEng Mechanical (or similar) or BEng Mechanical (or similar) with MSc in Computer Science
• Interest in writing code/scripts - has previously made small university/personal/work software projects
• Passion for learning
• Adaptability in a consultancy environment
Additional Information
Candidates should be able to apply their skills across a wide range of problems and technologies in a fast-moving environment and can comprehend fundamental software engineering principles, but extensive software development experience isn’t essential – we’ll help you develop as far as your ambition will take you.
