Job Description
Responsibilities
• Supervise the proper set up and readiness of each item on menus.
• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meet quality and hygiene standards.
• Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
• Ensures smooth kitchen operation by co-ordinating with related Food and Beverage Departments, and vendors.
• Training the young guns of the industry in various food techniques and the hygiene standards
• To have total accountability for the day to day running of the kitchen service.
Qualifications
• Good Communicative skills required to speak to our guests
• Good technical knowledge of the culinary skills
• Good hygiene practices
High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
OR
2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
