A related qualification (at NZ Register Certificate level 4 or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand, OR
Any skill standard assessment certificate as a Thai massage practitioner.
Job Descriptions
Massaging the body’s soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, and ligaments, using traditional Thai techniques to support healing.
Applying a variety of Thai massage methods to enhance sports performance and prevent injuries.
Offering treatments that promote relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension through Thai massage techniques.
Evaluating and addressing specific soft tissue issues and providing rehabilitation advice based on Thai massage practices.
Incorporating other techniques such as acupressure, passive stretching, and the use of herbal compresses or essential oils to aid in recovery.
Assessing the client’s physical condition and medical history, recommending stretching exercises, and guiding relaxation techniques within the framework of Thai massage
