You’ll be responsible for managing multiple YouTube channels, creating compelling content strategies, optimizing videos for maximum audience engagement, and driving subscriber growth through insightful analytics. You'll collaborate closely with our video editors, writers, and hosts to elevate our digital presence and ensure consistent channel growth.
As a Channel Manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duties:
Plan, manage, and execute the publishing schedule for multiple YouTube channels, ensuring consistent content delivery.
Collaborate closely with writers, video editors, and on-camera talent, providing constructive feedback on scripts, video drafts, and hosting performance to produce high-quality, engaging videos.
Optimize videos, metadata, titles, thumbnails, and descriptions to enhance discoverability and increase click-through rates.
Analyze video performance data, including retention, click-through rate (CTR), and audience engagement metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to increase subscriber growth, viewer retention, and overall channel engagement.
Stay current with YouTube algorithm trends, best practices, and market analysis to ensure our channels remain competitive.
Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, audience preferences, and overall strategic objectives.
Manage the channels’ team of writers, developing their skills and balancing their workload.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience managing and growing YouTube channels.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team.
Passion for consumer technology and gaming.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proven expertise in YouTube analytics, search engine optimization (SEO), video metadata, and audience growth strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate constructive feedback clearly and effectively.
Experience collaborating with creative teams, including editors, writers, and talent.
High attention to detail and a passion for continuously improving content performance.
Assets:
Basic video editing and thumbnail design skills.
Experience in content creation or creative ideation, especially in tech, entertainment, or educational content.
Compensation:
For this position, the typical total compensation falls between CAD $75,000 and $+5,000 per year. The base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives.
Junior Video Editor (Contractor)

As a Junior Video Editor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duties:
Utilizing video editing software (Premiere Pro and other Adobe-related applications) to log and refine footage at various editing stages
Managing multiple video projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
Collaborating with writers and other stakeholders to review and ensure videos align with each channel’s style and narrative
Incorporating graphics, animations, and other elements to elevate the visual appeal of our videos while maintaining the company’s identity and branding
Performing color correction/grading and enhancing audio footage
Requirements:
Advanced understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro and story structure within a long-form narrative
Have own editing equipment and software (adobe creative suite, premiere pro) with a reliable high speed internet connection

Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

Full-Time Junior Content Writer

Are you passionate about technology and storytelling? Linus Media Group (LMG) is on the lookout for a detail-oriented Junior Content Writer to create engaging and technical content for our internal hosts and external readership. With over 2.4 million subscribers on ShortCircuit YouTube channel and millions more across our family of channels, you’ll have the opportunity to inform and engage a massive audience.
The Labs Team conducts tests, and provides data-driven evaluations of tech products to inform both content and consumers. As a member of the Labs Team, you’ll share your team’s testing results with the rest of the world by preparing product notes for video hosts to use on shoots, as well as product pages and articles for our readership on www.lttlabs.com. You’ll collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other team members to develop in-depth, well-researched content.
As a Junior Content Writer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duties:
Prepare accurate and concise technical notes for our ShortCircuit hosts by collating data collected by the Labs team, and information from the web to empower the writing team with educated takes
Create product pages for the LTT Labs website by collating data collected by the Labs team, and writing accompanying descriptions to arm our readership with unbiased and educational product information
Collaborate with Lab’s subject matter experts to write and edit compelling articles, product reviews, and comparisons for the LTT Labs website
Ensure article copy, visuals, and creative assets align with the LMG brand, Quality Assurance standards, accuracy and SEO best practices.
Research and stay up to date on consumer technology, trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for written content
Providing assistance in writing tasks for other LMG departments on an as-needed basis.
Prepare visually appealing and informative technical charts, tables, and graphs with an emphasis on accuracy
Job Requirements:
Extremely high attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills with ability to balance technical and non-technical ideas while incorporating feedback in a clear and concise manner
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to to make charts, tables, and graphs

Compensation:
For this position, the typical hiring salary range falls between$55,000 and $70,000 CAD per year. The base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills and experience.
