1. JOB DETAILS:
Title: Junior Video Editor
Reports to: Senior Video Producer
Job Type: Flexible with 4 days in the office
Salary band: £24-27k depending on experience
Hours: 37.5
2.JOB PURPOSE:
We seek a talented Junior Video Editor to join our studio and create high-quality video projects for our global clientele.
The range of content you may work on includes TV ads, podcasts, motion graphic explainers, talking heads, and social media content. As part of our growing video team, you'll be involved in every stage of video production, from initial concept to final output.If you are passionate about video editing, excited to tackle new challenges, and eager to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and produce impactful content, apply with us today!
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creative Development: Propose innovative solutions to create engaging long and short-form content.
• Collaboration: Liaise with various teams to gather necessary assets and project updates.
• File Management: Organise project files in a clear, structured format.
• Quality Control: Review and refine your outputs before submission to the manager.
• Content Creation: Develop content for Rationale’s marketing initiatives.
• Industry Awareness: Stay updated on production trends and new equipment.
Essential experience/skills
• Diploma in Media and Communications, or equivalent work experience in video or film production.
• Minimum of 1 year of agency work experience.
• Expertise in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Basic audio editing and motion graphics experience.
• A strong sense of storytelling to enhance video content.
• Strong discipline, a willingness to learn, and a robust work ethic.
• Must be able to work in the UK
Beneficial skills
• Adobe Audition and/or Audacity, Reaper, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D
• Understanding of encoding and optimisations for specific platforms.
