Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Web Designer at JAOL, located in Vadodara. The Junior Web Designer will be responsible for performing day-to-day web and graphic design tasks, including front-end development, responsive web design, and creating graphics.
We are seeking a motivated and creative person with a strong foundation in web design, proficiency in WordPress, and hands-on experience in graphic designing. As a Junior Web Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites for our clients.
Responsibilities
1. Website Design and Development:
- Utilize your knowledge of WordPress to create responsive and functional websites that meet industry standards.
- Implement custom themes, templates, and plugins to enhance website aesthetics and functionality.
- At the same time ensure a quick response and easy to navigate website
2. Graphic Design:
- Apply your graphic design skills to create visually compelling elements, including banners, icons, and other graphics for web projects.
- Incorporate branding guidelines and design principles to ensure consistency across digital platforms.
3. User Experience (UX) Enhancement:
- Work to improve user experience by ensuring intuitive navigation, clear calls-to-action, and seamless interactions on websites.
- Implement responsive design techniques to ensure websites perform optimally across various devices and screen sizes.
4. Content Integration:
- Collaborate with content creators to integrate text, images, videos, and other media into websites, ensuring a cohesive design and engaging user experience.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing of websites to identify and rectify any layout, compatibility, or functionality issues.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize website performance for faster loading times.
- Ensure that the website ranks highly on SEO metrics
6. Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, web development technologies, and WordPress updates to enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas.
7. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, content creators, and project managers, to deliver high-quality web projects on time.
8. E-commerce Websites
- Along with maintaining our website, the person should also have a basic knowledge to handle e-commerce websites to extract the desired reports and upload required photographs in a desired dimension and format to ensure that we perform highly on every e-commerce platform.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- High Proficiency in WordPress, with the ability to set up and customize themes, plugins, and templates.
- Fairly Experienced using graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate client requirements into visually appealing designs.
- A portfolio showcasing your web design and graphic design projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A passion for staying up to date with industry trends and a willingness to learn and adapt
