The Opportunity

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to join our Commercial Operations team, reporting to the Associate Director, Commercial Business. In this pivotal role, you will manage key accounts across primarily pharmacy and select corporate groups for our portfolio of leading influenza vaccines and our differentiated prescription and OTC pharmaceutical products. You will work closely with brand teams, finance, and medical affairs while serving as the primary contact for a defined group of customers.

The Role

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in pharmacy and select corporate groups.

Drive sales growth across pharmacy and corporate channels through effective account management, commercial execution, and targeted promotional activity.

Manage portfolio performance across pharmacy and corporate accounts, driving profitable growth for influenza vaccines and pharmaceutical products.

Conduct business reviews and lead commercial engagement with major retail pharmacy banner groups to maximise distribution, shelf presence, and in‑store visibility for key brands.

Negotiate and secure optimal shelf space, facings, promotional slots, and activation opportunities for OTC products.

Collaborate with banner group buyers and category teams to support planogram compliance, category initiatives, and ranging decisions.

Negotiate and execute pre‑season agreements, rebates, and commercial terms in line with compliance requirements for CSL’s unique influenza vaccines.

Partner with marketing to deliver trade marketing initiatives, promotional calendars, and in‑store activations tailored to retail pharmacy.

Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with overall marketing objectives.

Monitor competitor activity and generate insights that support commercial decision-making.

Work closely with CSL internal teams to ensure organisational alignment and that agreed initiatives are communicated and delivered.

Represent CSL Seqirus at national and state industry events, including pharmacy and GP conferences

Your Skills and Experience

Proven experience in channel or account management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, with an emphasis on retail pharmacy.

Extensive key account experience working with retail pharmacy channels, including major banner groups.

Demonstrated ability to drive sustained sales growth across pharmacy wholesaler and retail channels through effective commercial execution and account strategies.

Track record in securing shelf space, facings, and in‑store visibility for OTC or consumer health brands.

Experience either directly or through teams in delivering trade marketing programs, in‑store promotions, POS activations, and retail marketing calendars.

Strong understanding of category management, including planograms and collaboration with pharmacy buying teams.

Proven ability to lead joint business planning and negotiations with retail pharmacy buyers.

Ability to analyse pharmacy and wholesale data (e.g., IQVIA, IRI, wholesaler reports) to identify insights and growth opportunities.

Expertise in pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and rebate structures.

Proven ability to manage P&L for assigned accounts and consistently achieve sales and margin targets.

Tertiary qualifications in science, nursing, allied health, or a related commercial discipline (desirable), supported by relevant experience
