Job Description
• Responsible to achieve or exceed the sales plan by maintaining existing business and develop new accounts.
• Drive sales activities, generate Leads and to close opportunities identified in your region and exceed revenue goals.
• Maintain contact with existing customers to promote new products/cross sell, close deals and grow sales, as well as develop new clientele.
• Develop a strong working knowledge of the features and benefits of competitive products.
• Responsible to play an active role within assigned region to develop a working knowledge of funding, market dynamics & end-user needs where 80% of clientele would be research and 20% would be academia/private organizations.
• Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the product, but also possibly department heads
• Works closely with Customer Service /Product team/ Supply chain Team to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
• Collaborates with marketing team to create more and more Product & Brand Awareness.
• Responsible for preparation of Sales Forecasts, effective trend analysis and drive achievement. Follows up diligently on leads received from other areas/divisions of the organization.
• Participates in scientific events such as CMEs and build Key Opinion Leaders
• Responsible for keeping Account Receivables under control.
• Forecasts the sales funnel for the assign area / Customer.
• Develops a business plan for each major account; monitors and reports progress regularly and advises Sales Manager of results.
• Work effectively with distribution channels that support the business in addition to direct sales.
• Establish customer pricing within defined ranges, providing price quotations and assist in preparing Bid documents, processes specifications, progress, and other reports.
• Assist in the forecasting and the projection of sales from new and existing customers for both reagents and instruments.
Qualification:
• Age- 22-30 Years, Masters/Bachelors in Life Science Stream/Biotechnology,
• MBA/MTech in Life Science with 2 to 4 years of relevant Academic/Industrial exposure.
Skills and Experience:
• Must have Two to Three years experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must have highest degree of professionalism and ethics.
• Must be proficient with MS office programs.
• Ability to travel without limitation. Willingness to travel extensively.
• Social, Dynamic, Self-Motivated, Good in Convincing Skills.
• Detail-orientation, analytical approach, strong prioritization skills.
• Sound technical knowledge of Life sciences product segment, Workflow
• processes in PCR, qPCR, Electrophoresis, Western Blotting, Transfection,
• Sequencing, Imaging, Elisa etc
• Must be willing to improve on knowledge base, including product information as
• well as other relevant scientific knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate resources and work with cross functional teams.
• Ability to plan and execute activities with minimal direct supervision.
