Role Overview: Senior Technician
As a Senior Technician at KIA Motors, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining KIA vehicles to the highest standards. You will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure that our customers' vehicles are running smoothly and safely. Your role is critical in delivering exceptional service and contributing to the overall success of our service department.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnostics and Repair: Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on KIA vehicles, addressing mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and other scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Technical Expertise: Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques to provide expert service.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed to KIA's high standards of quality and safety.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services, providing clear and accurate information.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall capabilities of the service team.
• Documentation: Accurately document all services performed, including diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and labor hours, ensuring comprehensive records.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
What We're Looking For
• Experience: Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a strong background in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Experience with KIA vehicles is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software. Strong understanding of automotive systems and components.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers and team members.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE) are highly desirable. Continuous willingness to pursue additional training and certifications.
• Education: Technical degree or certification in automotive technology or a related field.
