Kitchen Assistant - Casual
The College is seeking to appoint an energetic and gifted Kitchen Assistant to join our team of committed and passionate professionals.

About your Role:
Coordinate the purchasing and storage of ingredients as instructed.
Ensure all ingredients are prepared and ready ahead of class time to ensure smooth lessons.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces
Purchase and organise ingredients and resources for practical classes
Setting up and packing down kitchen workspaces and equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen areas, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces and equipment.
Supporting students and teachers during practical lessons
Monitoring hygiene and safety practices in line with WHS guidelines and Food Safe practices.
Purchasing equipment and supplies for the TAS department
Performing basic administration and clerical tasks.
Drivers licence required
Working as part of a collaborative and professional team that values initiative, attention to detail, and a service-oriented attitude.
About You:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:
Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in an educational or school setting.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
An interest in food preparation and supporting student learning.
Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with students and teachers.
A flexible and proactive approach to tasks.
