An opportunity waits for a Kitchen Hand in Dulwich Hill reporting to the Operations Coordinator.
The position is for someone who has flexible availability with potential to work morning and/or afternoon and able to work 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting up, serving, and clearing dining room and setting up food trolley for delivery of meals to residents
Assist in the provision of catering services within the facility
General cleanliness of all kitchen equipment used in the production of food and work surfaces
Preparation of coffee and tea and serve for Residents
Wash all dishes used
Assist with food service as directed by cook
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
Experience in Aged Care (Preferred)
Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
Knowledge and understanding of infection control, manual handling, and hazard identification.
Prior training or experience in food safety
Good communication skills
The ability to follow kitchen cleaning schedules
Reliable and hard working
Strong WH&S awareness
