The Role
The Baytree by Ardency is a premium retirement Resort located in Greenwich that has paved the way for a unique retirement experience which combines the very best in independent living with the premium amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel.
The team at The Baytree have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Hand to join their dynamic team on a permanent part time basis.
The successful candidate will be required to assist in various areas of the restaurant, having a hands-on approach in both front and back of house operations.
Reporting to the Assistant Resort Manager, you will be tasked undertaking a variety of duties and responsibilities including:
Assisting chefs with meal preparation and plating to ensure high-quality presentation
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Supporting the kitchen team with general duties to keep operations running smoothly
Working with the kitchen team to ensure a high standard of service is provided within the restaurant to residents and guests
Contributing to a positive dining experience for our residents through teamwork and care
Shifts:
Friday 6:00PM – 9:00PM
Saturday 5:00PM – 10:00PM
About You
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting (preferred but not essential)
Basic knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen hygiene practices, is essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
A friendly attitude and willingness to learn
Be well presented and reliable
Have a passionate and customer- focused approach with a can-do and proactive attitude
To have a current First Aid and CPR certificates, or be willing to obtain
