Weston Frontlines is a community-based organization dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of children and youth in York-South Weston, one of Ontario's most underserved areas. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Helper to assist the Culinary Manager with food preparation for program attendees and catering events during the summer.
Key Responsibilities:
Pick up and receive food items from suppliers as requested by the culinary manager
Properly store food items and kitchen products
Prepare menus
Prepare, cook, and store meals
Assist in catering events
Provide documentation (invoices, inventory, etc.) to the culinary manager
Maintain the cleanliness of the workspace
Be a positive role model
General lifting (up to 50lbs)
Other relevant duties as assigned
Employment Requirements
At least 1-2 years of experience working in a Kitchen
Knowledge of food handling is a must
Access to a vehicle will be considered an asset
Working Conditions:
Free on-site parking.
Typical hours are Monday to Friday, from +:00 am to 5:00 pm, weekends as needed.

The successful candidate must provide a Police Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector).
This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and
Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Pay: $17.20 per hour
