Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Steward to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both assisting in the kitchen and ensuring the cleanliness of our kitchenware and workspaces. This dual role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and hygiene standards of our kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and other tasks as needed.
Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Ensure the kitchen and dishwashing area are kept clean and organized at all times.
Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies safely and effectively.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies.
Dispose of trash and waste in accordance with kitchen guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good physical condition; ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
