Strategic Initiatives, Analytics & Knowledge Management unit (CSIAK) was established to enhance IFC’s knowledge and change management capabilities in support of IFC’s strategic objectives and growth ambitions, and to further strengthen our corporate analytics and reporting. The team is working closely with all functions within Corporate Support VPU and with others across the institution and plays a key role in enhancing IFC’s agility and efficiency, identifying roadblocks to the advancement of corporate priorities, and developing and implementing solutions to address them.
CSIAK is looking for a high-performing Knowledge Management Officer to support, primarily, its knowledge technology and content management programs. The Knowledge Management Officer will work as part of a wider team and may also be required to support other CSIAK activities. The selected candidate will report to a senior team member of CSIAK.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Knowledge Management Officer, team lead, will oversee all content management and data analytics activities performed in the Chennai office. The role requires experience in content inventorying and assessment, content analytics and reporting, and metadata and taxonomy management. This position also requires expertise in data science and the ability to step in on any or all tasks when the team is under a deadline. The selected candidate will perform several functions related to the department’s content and data analytic activities, including but not limited to the following:
Content/Information Management • Conduct content inventory of external websites and intranet sites on various platforms, with additional audit and analysis (content age, number of files, metrics, etc.) • Assist in content categorization and tagging • Review current content and validate/update metadata for optimal search and findability • Develop resources (manuals, tip sheets, etc.) to support and promote content management best practices, including training sessions. • Oversee the IFC Content Management Helpdesk, stepping in to provide specific guidance to IFC site admins and hub leads on updating and maintaining their intranet sites • Provide monthly /quarterly/yearly metric reports on the usage of key information and knowledge portals
Data Analytics and Management • Leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and text analytics to ideate, develop and implement data analytics-based solutions for IFC operations • Validate, test, and provide quality assurance for technical solutions and fixes
Team Lead • Ensure management of tasks for content/information and data management team • Collaborate with the local team and CSIAK to ensure deliverables are met • Provide quality check of work completed by the team • Summarize and present the team’s work to both external and internal audiences • Facilitate onboarding and training of new staff • Provide administrative duties for the team (e.g., leave requests)
Selection Criteria
• A master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in library and information science, computer science, information technology/systems, knowledge management, information management, or other related field • Proficiency with data analytics, knowledge management and/or content management • Project management experience required • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision • Detailed and solid understanding of information, content, and data management • High degree of motivation, initiative, and reliability • Ability to read, summarize, communicate, and categorize complex materials clearly in English • Editing skills, with a superior understanding of (American) English grammar and punctuation • Understanding and knowledge of international economics, financing, and development • Experience with modeling techniques to analyze highly structured (time series, cross-section, panel data) and highly unstructured data (text data from documents, websites, and social media) • Must be proficient in Adobe Analytics, all Microsoft Office products, SharePoint Online, and expert skills in Excel, Python, and data visualization platforms • Experience with using MeaningCloud software preferred • Ability to analyze data and articulate findings • Excellent organizational skills, proven ability to perform multiple tasks, prioritize deliverables and work under pressure and tight deadlines with accuracy and professionalism • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work in a team environment, as well as under minimum supervision
