Job Description
A KNX Programmer is responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning KNX-based building automation systems. KNX is a standard communication protocol used for home and building automation.
What You’ll Do
• Designing KNX systems: The KNX Programmer will design the KNX system layout based on the building plans, specifications, and client requirements.
• Programming KNX systems: The KNX Programmer will write and debug the KNX control programs for the automation system. They will work with the client to ensure the system meets their specific needs.
• Commissioning KNX systems: The KNX Programmer will test and commission the KNX-based automation system to ensure it functions correctly. They will also ensure that the system is integrated with other building automation systems.
• Troubleshooting KNX systems: The KNX Programmer will identify and resolve any issues with the KNX-based automation system. This may involve analyzing the system's behavior and identifying programming or hardware issues.
• Providing technical support: The KNX Programmer will provide technical support to clients and other members of the installation team.
• Staying up to date with new technologies: The KNX Programmer will stay up-to-date with new developments in KNX technology and incorporate them into their work.
• Documenting KNX systems: The KNX Programmer will document the system design, programming, and commissioning process for future reference.
KNX Programmers should have experience in programming and commissioning KNX based automation systems. They should have knowledge of programming languages, such as ETS, and experience in building automation systems, such as HVAC, lighting, and security systems. They should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills to work with clients and other members of the installation team
