Our services include feasibility studies, long-range planning studies, and the full spectrum of design services from conceptualization through construction support.
As a junior Architectural Designer with Jacobs Advanced Facilities – Electronics group, you will help us design state-of-the-art microelectronics facilities, data centers, and other advanced industrial and commercial facilities powering our virtual world today and into the future (this is a hybrid position in Portland, OR).
You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skill level as you work among a collaborative and innovative team of Architects and Designers to perform architectural design assignments, using prescribed methods and standards. You’ll help us engage with clients and subcontractors as you design interior space layouts and exterior appearance & detailing of our client’s advanced facilities. Working with the other members of our team, you will continue to develop your t design capabilities, communication skills, hand sketches, and computer-based 3D and illustration knowledge. Here's what you'll need
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited Architectural program
• 2-5 years architecture experience required
• Proficiency in Revit 3D modeling
• Experience with Sketch up, Adobe Suite, InDesign, and Navisworks
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work on-site in Portland, OR
Ideally, you’ll also have
• Experience with building codes and specifications
• Industrial design experience in advanced facilities, such as semiconductor, data center, or similar
• LEED accredited
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
