Role Description
You will be joining KYC (Know Your Client) Operations, supporting the Corporate and Investment Bank functions of Deutsche Bank.
In playing an integral role in the bank's first line of defence against financial crime, KYC Operations works closely with the Business and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) in subjecting new and existing clients to reviews against standards reflecting externally defined requirements and internally established policy.
The Data/MI function within KYC Operations accesses rich data stores in providing global/regional management information to senior management, the Business, operations teams for planning, steering and review, as well as regulators and internal control functions, both ad hoc and on a regular basis.
As the manager of the Data and MI team, your experience and expertise will be key in overseeing a unit responsible for the building and refining of optimal data sourcing processes and developing/refining our portfolio of dashboards to inform wider decision making.

• Migrating tactically developed processes to recognised analytics platforms
• Refine regionally disparate reporting processes in designing harmonised global service
• Deliver RTB reporting solutions within SLA thresholds
• Support demand for new analytical output
• Consider demand against existing portfolio of reporting solutions for optimally efficient integration
• Ensure requirements meet minimum standards for acceptance
• Agree prioritisation and delivery schedule with requestor/sponsor
• Design data models to support development of effective data processing, maximising all opportunities for automation
• Establish/monitor robust controls to highlight any failure within e2e processing, resolving any failures identified
• Compile and maintain all necessary supporting documentation (sponsors/business cases, sourcing details/contacts, data model, other features) Wherever required, to support analysts/developers in:
• Reviewing/refining scope of requirements, aligning through consultation with the service requestor if necessary
• Identifying most effective tooling for solution delivery
• Structuring and hosting 'show and tell' sessions to confirm component delivery / development is directionally suitable / opportunity for further refinement The manager will be additionally responsible to:
• Recognise development gaps across the team and respond with action plans to address as necessary
• Develop an extended network, fostering positive working relationships with all stakeholders and successfully market and represent the successes of the team

• Good presentation skills - can speak with authority at executive summary or detail level across a number of complex in-flight initiatives
• Capable of independent prioritisation where appropriate – can operate without perpetual direction
• Honours degree expected, ideally in Computer Science or similar
• Some experience with / an understanding of KYC processes and data is beneficial but not essential It is expected that the manager also possesses a strong technical capability, including:
• An ability to synthesize complex and abstract questions/problems and determine a clear, optimal approach to address, whether via reporting or data-supported written summaries
• A capability to rapidly assess/process/manipulate/analyse large amounts of data sourced from multiple locations (SQL experience expected)
• A strong understanding across a range of data analytics packages, including Alteryx, SQL Server, Celonis as well as MS Suite (Excel/Access)
• A strong competence with visualisation tools (incl. Tableau) and an understanding of visualisation best practices How we'll support you
