Expedite Testing Service is located in Lakeside, CA. ETS specializes in materials testing services. The Lab Technician I position will support the various testing departments including: mechanical, metallography, chemical analysis and nondestructive. The technician will perform tests in which they have demonstrated competency.
This position will report to the operations manager. This position requires the candidate to be able to efficiently and effectively handle a full workload with minimal oversight once the candidate has demonstrated competency.
The candidate will be required to be competent with reading technical documents (i.e. manufacturing or testing standards), using measuring devices (i.e. calipers, micrometer, etc.), familiar with different configurations of fasteners and others parts and be able to follow instructional documents.
Competency will be determined after the completion of various training programs that will consist of review of the necessary procedure(s) and work instruction(s), on the job practical training and performance evaluation for effectiveness of the training.
The skill set that the position demands are: solid time management, strong communication skills (oral and written), detail oriented, results driven, organized, methodical, willingness to ask questions and demonstrates teamwork.
We are looking for a candidate that is motivated, dependable and willing accepts constructive criticism. Due to the small size of the company, these qualities are imperative for the success of the candidate and the business.
Required experience includes: None.
Preferred experience includes: laboratory testing experience. Mechanical aptitude.
