At Sunglass Hut, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working with optical tools and equipment. If you are an individual who is passionate about eyewear and has the necessary skills to get the job done, we want to hear from you!The Lab Technician’s primary responsibility is to maintain and repair eyeglass frames, lenses, and other optical components. Lab Technicians must be knowledgeable in the use of various tools and equipment, including lathes, drills, grinders, and polishers, and must be able to read and understand diagrams and schematics. Additionally, the Lab Technician will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of orders and the quality of eyewear repairs.We are seeking an individual with a strong technical background, preferably in the optical industry. This individual should have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, and must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. The successful candidate must also possess the ability to multitask while working with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair eyeglass frames, lenses, and other optical components.
Utilize various tools and equipment, including lathes, drills, grinders, and polishers.
Read and understand diagrams and schematics.
Ensure the accuracy of orders and the quality of eyewear repairs.
Troubleshoot eyewear problems and provide solutions.
Provide excellent customer service.
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments.
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
