Lab Technician
Collect blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other biological samples.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and safe transportation of samples.
• Perform routine hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and pathology tests.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Record, analyze, and interpret test results with accuracy.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures.
• Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and safety standards in the laboratory.
• Proper disposal of biomedical waste as per guidelines.
• Prepare test reports and enter results in the system or registers.
• Ensure timely communication of urgent/critical values to doctors.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Assist doctors and nursing staff in diagnostic procedures.
• Coordinate with pathology consultants for special tests.
• Provide guidance to junior staff or interns if required.
