Job Title: Lab Technician – Pharmacy Department
Department: Pharmacy
Reports To: Head of Department / Lab In-charge
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Prepare laboratory equipment, materials, and reagents for practical sessions and experiments.
Assist faculty and students in conducting experiments and practical demonstrations.
Maintain proper records of chemicals, glassware, instruments, and other lab resources.
Calibrate, clean, and ensure regular maintenance of laboratory instruments.
Ensure safe disposal of laboratory waste as per guidelines.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and orderliness.
Monitor stock levels and prepare requisitions for procurement of lab consumables.
Assist in conducting laboratory examinations and practical assessments.
Ensure compliance with institutional, safety, and regulatory standards.
Provide technical support for research and project work undertaken in the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma / B.Sc. in Pharmacy / Medical Laboratory Technology or related field (Bachelor in Pharmacy preferred).
Prior experience as a lab technician in a Pharmacy/Science lab is desirable.
