Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile individual to join our team as Lab Technician / Operations Support. This hybrid role supports both the technical testing of electronic components and LED lighting systems, as well as operations and logistics functions that ensure timely and efficient product delivery. The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical knowledge and operational focus, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable working across teams.

Key Lab Technician Responsibilities:

Conduct performance testing on electronic components and LED lighting systems, including thermal analysis, energy efficiency, and light transmission using tools such as integrating spheres.

Evaluate LED circuit boards and heatsinks for thermal management effectiveness.

Assemble and solder prototype PCBs and integrate them into complete testable units.

Compare and report on various DC power supplies used in LED applications.

Support lab-related work orders associated with customer projects or internal development efforts.

Key Operations Support Responsibilities:

Process customer purchase orders and product samples, including entering sales orders into the MRP system, reviewing BOMs, and verifying inventory requirements.

Create and maintain product recipes in the MRP system by referencing Excel-based BOMs and ensuring all part numbers and quantities are accurate.

Assist with production planning by monitoring build priority lists and coordinating kitting and shipping of components to manufacturing partners.

Receive and verify incoming components from vendors and perform system receiving processes.

Audit inventory of finished goods and components to maintain inventory accuracy.

Complete administrative tasks such as invoice categorization, process documentation, and file management.

Mark assembly builds as complete in the system and close corresponding sales orders.

Other tasks as assigned or needed.

Preferred Experience:

Diploma or degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology or similar

Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (Katana experience is an asset)

Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and interpreting component specifications

Understanding of logistics, international shipping, and customs documentation

Experience with LED lighting technology is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
