Position Title

Role Objectives:
To assist in smooth functioning of Nursing Staff by coordinating with the Nursing Superintendent.
DESCRIPTION OF CORE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Staff Nurse - Labour. Reporting about the progresses and processes to Nursing Superintendent.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• To ensure adequate supply of consumables to the LDR.
• Providing education and support to mothers and families after delivery
• Measuring the strength and timing of contractions
• Administering medications and performing diagnostic tests
• Consulting with physicians and other members of the care team
• Assisting with inducing labor
• Coaching the mother during delivery
• Identifying and assisting with complications
• Assisting with various procedures, including Cesarean sections
• Monitoring and performing tests on newborns
• Monitoring the fetal heart rate, and mother’s vital signs
• Measuring the strength and timing of contractions

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
• QUALIFICATION: GNM / B. Sc Nursing
• EXPERIENCE: 1-2 Yrs.
• LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE: Good knowledge of written and spoken English; Excellent understanding of local languages and Hindi.
• SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Demonstrate an organized, effective and timely approach to all tasks.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to act as part of a multi – cultural and multidisciplinary team.
• Professional and personal flexibility.
• Ability to cope with stress
