We’re hiring for a Temporary (12 month with possible extension) Laboratory Assistant, who’ll be based at our 40-hectare primary processing site in Cannon Hill.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch and submission of food safety and environmental samples to approved third-party contractors. You will also accurately record results, data, and information to facilitate timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare samples and relevant documentation for dispatch to third-party contractors
Prepare in-house environmental swabs and report findings in relevant forms. Send notification retest emails
Manage consumables and notify the QA Manager if restocking is required
Ensure performance of tests in accordance with the sample plan and internal customer requirements
Ensure accurate, timely recording of results and that reporting requirements are met
Maintain awareness of food safety and quality policies, AQIS, and customer requirements. Demonstrate competence in personal health and hygiene procedures
