What’s on offer?
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Fulton Hogan team based in Hazelmere, WA. You will play a key role in the testing of bitumen and emulsion to relevant standard methods in our NATA‑accredited laboratory, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of our products to customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Testing various products such as neat bitumen, modified bitumen and emulsions.
Hands‑on, day‑to‑day management of samples and testing in accordance with specified requirements.
Handling and managing chemicals in line with relevant standards.
Managing testing, reporting, data analysis and equipment calibrations.
Conducting procedures safely and maintaining good housekeeping of the laboratory and equipment.
Providing technical support to production departments and maintaining the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.
Undertaking local travel as required, based on business needs.
How you’ll connect to the role?
To be successful, you will require the following skills/experience:
Willingness to work nightshift, weekends on a regular basis and local travel away from home at times.
Flexibility to accommodate last‑minute changes to shifts to meet client requirements.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality, punctuality, reliability, respect for others and working as part of an efficient team.
A valid driver’s licence and a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (or equivalent).
