The Opportunity
Our Lithium team is seeking Laboratory Technicians to join the laboratory team.
As a Laboratory Technician you operate and maintain the site assay lab and will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of routine plant and pit samples.
This role will be on a 7 days on / 7 nights on / 7 days off roster, on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment
Ensure responses are captured promptly and communicated to the appropriate teams
Inspect the workplace to identify hazards and assist to implement effective controls
Accurate and timely reporting of analytical results
Perform QAQC checks and ensure results are within control limits
Ensuring you follow MinRes Laboratory procedures & adhere to Health & Safety Standards
Contribute to daily PSI meetings
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in relation to procedures, systems and work-related activities and initiate improvement action via an entry in the Laboratory Improvement Request Register
What is Required:
Demonstrated experience working in similar position within an automated laboratory environment
MSL40118 Certificate 1V Laboratory Technician (Highly desirable)
Ability to work cohesively in close knit team environment
A strong commitment to commitment to safety
High attention to detail
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
Full Australian working rights
Current WA C Class Drivers Licence
