Job Description
This position is part of the State of California's commitment to public health. As a Receiving Specimens Technician, you will support laboratory testing for mycobacterial, mycotic, parasitic, and immunodiagnostic diseases.
Key Responsibilities
Process and prepare specimens for examination by microbiologists
Prepare media and reagents
Perform quality control checks on equipment, media, and reagents
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work environment
Working Conditions
The position may require telework up to three days per week, with a minimum of two days in-person at the designated headquarters office location. The amount of telework permitted is subject to change. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement is based on regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions.
