We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join Downer's Mineral Technologies team at Carrara, QLD. You will assist with process metallurgical laboratory test work under the guidance of the Metallurgists within the Metallurgical Services Department. Operate and maintain the laboratory and equipment to efficiently complete projects and tasks within the expected time frame and budgets. Participate in laboratory test work in a safe manner. Carry out in plant trialing & metallurgical commissioning of mineral processing plants nationally and internationally.
ABOUT YOU
Must have a Driver's License with own transport
Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques and prior metallurgical laboratory experience is preferred
Forklift Ticket would be preferred / willingness to obtain one
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn about minerals and related processes
Knowledge of spirals, electrostatic and magnetic separators operations would be a preference
