Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Laborers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be experienced, skilled, responsible and reliable. This role requires physical stamina and a commitment to safety in the workplace. Position will be full-time hours but will be dependent on work load. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. In this position pay will be determined on experience. Experience in concrete foundations would be an asset. Potential opportunity available for carpenter apprenticeships.
Responsibilities
Perform general labor tasks including loading and unloading materials, assisting with construction activities, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively including saws, grinders and a range of hand tools.
Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of work areas as needed.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment or safety hazards to management promptly.
Be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
Constructing, erecting and installing wood formwork for concrete walls.
Qualifications
Previous experience in labor or construction roles is preferred but not required.
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift including standing, bending, and squatting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety practices is a plus.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
