LABOURER / CARPENTER ASSISTANT

ABOUT THE ROLE

Leasehold Improvements Inc. is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated labourer or carpenter’s assistant to join our crew!

Based in HRM, we focus on high-quality renovations across both commercial and residential projects — think offices, clinics, retail fit-outs, kitchen remodels, and full demo-to-rebuild work. If you’re dependable, hard-working, and eager to build your skills in the trades, this role is a great opportunity to grow.

You’ll work alongside experienced carpenters and site leads, assisting with all aspects of renovation work — from demo and prep to framing, drywall, and finishing support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Support demolition, framing, drywall, hardware, and finish work

Assist carpenters and trades on job sites with material handling, setup, and cleanup

Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly

Load/unload trucks and maintain a clean, organized job site

Follow instructions and contribute to smooth, on-time project delivery

Represent the company professionally when on-site or interacting with clients

WHAT YOU BRING

Previous experience in construction or renovation work is an asset, but not required

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Comfortable using basic tools and following safety protocols

Positive attitude and ability to work well on a team

Punctual, reliable, and ready to show up and get the job done

Valid driver’s license is an asset

WHAT WE OFFER

Competitive hourly rate: $24-$34/hour based on experience
