The duties of this job require exposure to working near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, UV rays, and toxic or caustic chemicals
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
The employee will regularly handle Polycarbonate rolls weighing up to 100 pounds and handle 55-gallon drums using an overhead crane and power lifts
Ability to read and learn complex procedure, operational manuals, and other documentations
Ability to record daily production counts and material lots for full traceability
Respirator, gloves and lab coats are required when handling chemicals
Closed toe shoe required with heel support
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
Safety glasses and long sleeve shirts may be required where needed

We are currently hiring a Laminate Machine Operator
Hours: starting hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm. Once training is complete the shift will move to 4 10-hour days starting at 5:00am.
Location: Hoya Vision, 7000 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey, MN 55303
Hourly Rate: $23 per hour

• What you’ll do:
• Work within team to operate the Lamination Line
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and record all required documentation

Qualifications
• High school diploma with 1 year of experience
• 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing company preferred
• Forklift certification preferred and valid driver’s license
• The duties of this job require exposure to working near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, UV rays, and toxic or caustic chemicals
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• The employee will regularly handle Polycarbonate rolls weighing up to 100 pounds and handle 55-gallon drums using an overhead crane and power lifts

• Basic knowledge and skill to operate PC a must; experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred
