Job Description
The ideal candidate will have previous practical experience and technical knowledge of topographical surveying, including processing survey and CAD data. You will work independently on projects and also collaborate with senior surveyors on larger and more complex tasks.
You will have the opportunity to continue your professional development, undertaking training to learn measured building surveying, laser scanning, complex topographical surveys, and setting out.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete small to medium scale topographical surveys independently and to a high standard
Work with senior surveyors on large and complex surveying projects
Process survey data and CAD data to a high working standard
Demonstrate good competent knowledge of traversing and GPS control networks
Accurately set up surveying instruments, recording data, and providing logistical support to other team members
Work effectively on projects with junior surveyors and assist with their development by providing practical onsite experience
Undertake initial site inspections and complete dynamic risk assessments when attending survey sites, ensuring all required safety measures are in place prior to commencing work
Undertake training to learn measured building surveying, laser scanning, large complex topographical surveys, and basic knowledge of site engineering and setting out
Requirements:
Previous experience working in the surveying industry (1-3+ years)
Previous experience completing small to medium scale topographical surveys independently
Experience processing raw survey data and CAD data to a high working standard
Experience and knowledge of traversing and GPS control networks
Technical knowledge and previous practical experience of topographical surveying, including experience using surveying equipment and software
Possess a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths & English to Grade C level/Grade 4 level
Able to commute to our Glasgow office
Full UK driving licence
