What You’ll Do
Help complete and coordinate development approval applications, including Official Plan amendments, zoning amendments, Committee of Adjustment, Plan of Subdivision, Site Plan Control and condominium applications
Review preliminary concept plans, perform due diligence activities and project evaluation
Assist in preparing supporting documents such as Planning Rationales
Liaise with clients, other consultants, municipalities and other associated agencies in the pursuit of approvals, communicating project information and coordinating tasks
Participate in public meetings, hearings and events for development approval applications
Assist in negotiating agreements and conditions (e.g., subdivision and site plan conditions/ agreements, condominium registration, permits, etc.)
Skills & Experience You’ll Need
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced interdisciplinary work environment
Strong analytical and report writing skills
Detail-oriented and effective time management capabilities
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Strong time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills
A commitment to excellence and high quality work with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently as well as a part of a multi-disciplined team
A valid Province of Ontario driver’s license
Student or Co-Op related work experience is an asset
Education and Accreditation Required
University degree in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent
Compensation/Work Arrangements
Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000 annually. Salary offered will be based on education, experience,
and skills.
