Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces for residential, commercial, and public projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to bring landscape concepts to life, considering environmental, structural, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities
• Meet with clients to discuss project goals, requirements, and budget.
• Conduct site analysis, including soil testing, sunlight exposure, and existing vegetation.
• Create detailed landscape design plans using CAD software and hand-drawn sketches.
• Select appropriate materials, plants, and design elements that suit the project’s purpose and environment.
• Present concepts and design proposals to clients for approval.
• Coordinate with landscape architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design execution.
• Prepare cost estimates, timelines, and project documentation.
• Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to design specifications and timelines.
• Stay current with industry trends, sustainable practices, and local regulations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in landscape design or related role.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion).
• Strong understanding of horticulture, soil science, and irrigation systems.
• Excellent visualization, communication, and client-interfacing skills.
• Creative flair with attention to detail and project deadlines.
