Job Description
Key Deliverables and Expectations:
Involvement with developing and delivering lessons plans based on course essential learning outcomes.
Maintain a daybook with lesson plans.
Records student attendance in class.
Records, maintains, and updates student achievements data.
Involvement with assigning students grades and comments for reporting purposes.
Assist qualified teacher with developing long range plans centered on curricular and essential learning outcomes.
Regularly communicates with students about their progress.
Accommodate the needs of students including but not limited to specifications outlines in plans such as IEPs.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Experience and Attributes:
University degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (tier 1).
Possession of/or ability to apply for a BC Teaching Certificate (tier 2).
TQS Category (tier 2).
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams.
Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines prioritizes assignments, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Motivated self-starter and with strong interpersonal skills.
Highly professional in all aspects of business, presentation and interaction with all stakeholders, clients, and Members.
Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check, including the vulnerable sector.
