General Information
Skills Required:
• Technical:
• Expertise in PHP including OOP and Laravel framework
• Excellent knowledge of Laravel framework and experience building factories/facades/libraries using abstract classes, interfaces, traits
• Proficiency in SQL and MySQL database management
• Good Core knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and Bootstrap framework. Experience in Javascript Frameworks (ReactJS/VueJS/AngularJS) will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience in RESTful API design and development including implementation of oAuth2.0 for authentication and authorization.
• Experience in micro-services development will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of version controlling systems like Git, clear understanding of Gitflow workflow, repository management tools like BitBucket, and understanding of overall CI/CD process.
• Understanding of web application security best practices
• Familiarity with caching and performance optimization techniques
• Work in knowledge of cloud servers (AWS / DigitalOcea / Linode) related services and server administration like setting up Apache/Nginx, PHP-fpm etc… Nice to have but not mandatory

Job Responsibilities
• Laravel Framework: A deep understanding of the Laravel framework and its ecosystem. Familiarity with Laravel's core features, such as routing, migrations, Eloquent ORM, authentication, and caching. Proficiency in Laravel's conventions and best practices.
• PHP: Strong knowledge of PHP, including object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and familiarity with PHP frameworks. Understanding of PHP's syntax, data types, control structures, and error handling. Experience with PHP 7 and 8 is desirable.
• Database Management: Proficiency in working with databases, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, indexing, and normalization. Familiarity with database migration tools provided by Laravel.
• Front-end Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue.js or React can be valuable, as Laravel integrates well with these frameworks. Knowledge of front-end build tools, such as webpack or Laravel Mix, is beneficial.
• RESTful APIs: Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs using Laravel. Understanding of API design principles, versioning, authentication, and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT or OAuth).
