Garment Merchandiser
Full Job Description
MERCHANDISER
1 Coordinating with buyers by mail (mostly) and calls for new queries as well as updates
2 Meeting with vendors/printers and explaining new development requirement
3 Coordinating with the designer and printer for new season sampling and production orders
4 Maintaining sample archive
5 Submission of samples to buyer through courier or otherwise
6 Follow up with vendors/printers for samples
7 Follow up with reporting manager and/or buyer for sample approvals and feedback
8 Giving approval on samples where buyer intervention is not required
+ Updating latest comments on particular prints/designs or order
10 Maintaining complete order report with status (complete life cycle of the production) on excel
11 Update the buyers with the order status at all stages
12 Execution of running orders (production) and tough follow ups for timely delivery
13 Visit to vendor site whenever required
14 Preparation of fabric/ requirement or any other requirement related to production/shipment
15 Selection and finalizing of printers for the upcoming orders based on printer’s experience of making similar products
16 Preparing Purchase order
17 Costing and negotiation of rates with printers
18 Preparing inspection schedule and intimating for inline/midline and final QC of the shipment and notifying to quality department, buyer or third party QA.

20 Updating Time and Action calendar
21 Vendor creation
