Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a high standard of laundry care for residents’ clothing, including washing, drying, and ironing.
Ensure laundry is collected and returned promptly to the appropriate areas, and that residents’ personal clothing is neatly stored.
Maintain residents’ wardrobes and drawers in a clean, organised, and tidy condition.
Operate laundry equipment safely and correctly, reporting any faults to the Head Housekeeper or maintenance team.
Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and individual preferences at all times.
Comply with COSHH regulations and follow all health and safety procedures.
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately.
Adhere to the home’s colour-coded systems and cleaning protocols.
Complete all required documentation accurately on a daily basis.
Maintain high standards of infection control within the laundry area and throughout the home, supporting residents in meeting their own infection control needs.
