The Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center exists to support the ministry of the Salvation Army by providing the opportunity to experience Christ through focused programs in a natural, safe, camp conference environment.

POSITION TITLE : Laundry Worker
REPORTS TO : Housekeeping Supervisor
FLSA CATEGORY : Non-Exempt
STATUS TYPE : Part Time
OUTCOMES
Launder camp materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Wash, dry, and fold all Camp linen within an established time schedule.
• Maintain the laundry area and equipment, ensuring they are in clean and good condition.
• Assist with housekeeping as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in commercial laundry work is preferred.
COMPETENCIES
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self starter.
• A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
• An attention to detail.
• Minimum age of 1+.
• In agreement with the philosophy, goals and objectives of The Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center.
• Supportive of the mission of The Salvation Army.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMEN T
• This position is required to do light to heavy physical work.
• In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use laundry equipment.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs.
• The work environment for this position includes an office/laundry environment with a low to high noise level.
